"Forget it's a computer. Buy it for the TV functions"
Pros: Price and functionality. Replaces a room full of equipment.
Cons: Wired keyboard
Summary: Amazing. None of my friends believe what I paid for this thing. I have a Mac; I'll probably never use this as a computer. Well, I'll surf the web, occasionally, but this is really a big screen, hi-def, lcd tv with built in functionality that blows Tivo away. All my pictures, all my music, all my stuff accessible from the remote.
Actually demo-ing the product sells it nearly immediately. I'd never used the Media Center software, and I knew what to do right off the bat. All of my friends want one.

I was initially in love with my MCE410 until I got it and realized that the folk at Winbook a.Didnt finish closing out the set up of it and I had to call and call until someone helped me resolve that issue and then b. for every month during this past year I kept experiencing: 1. "bios upgrade errors", 2. crashes and 3. shut downs. I was told it was software related when mind you I only had iTunes if anything on it as outside software. I think they need to get the total bugs out before they ship out any more.

The problem with all these "Media Center" units is that to function as a TV receiver, they HAVE TO HAVE CABLE TV for their input; otherwise they would be stuck with whatever one channel your SATELITE BOX is currently set to, since there is no way for them to tell it to change channels.
To do that would require a step backwards to using an IR transmitter tethered to the unit (like the old VCR's and WebTV consoles use) and placed on-top-of or underneath the Satelite box.
