  • "INCREDIBLE!"
    on by swill976

Pros 110 lumens, most micros have 10-30, reads MP4, internal memory, built in speaker, add on Energizer XP18000 and you are truly wireless and ready to watch movies / present powerpoints anywhere.

Cons Used for many hours, can't find one.

Summary If you are in the market for a micro projector for the road / movie night, buy the Aaxa M2.

  • "bad construction, didn't work out of the box (no color)"
    on by waterhunter

Pros small size, light weight, HDMI

Cons loud fan, poor menu/user interface, remote control almost useless, NO COLOR (the first time I ever turned it on, the unit was crisp and bright in living color - it flickered and died after ~1 minute of use and the color never returned no matter the settin

Summary Pretty much a terrible experience. I bought the unit for work (I teach), but decided to test it before taking it in front of an audience. My test was a "movie night" outside in the grass (with the M2 projecting against the outside of the house). I took it out of the box - everything looked very nice but I could tell the build quality was a bit lacking... cheap plastic construction with no external controls at all except for the small menu - which does not control the picture - you must use the remote control for that, which in my case did not work unless I held it at strange angles within 5 inches of the device. We got a full minute into 'Rio' before the color began to flicker & then washed out completely. The movie continued to play in some kind of weird greenish/gray hue that made any viewing experience unwatchable. I checked the settings with the remote - no issue there except for 5 minutes of frustration trying to find the right angle to make the remote work.. I gave it a slight smack- the color flickered again but did not come back. In fairness, I haven't read anything else negative about this device in the forums - its possible the mailman dropped mine and just didn't say anything. I've returned the one I bought and asked for a replacement - I'll post a follow-up as soon as it comes in.

  • "Best micro or travel Projector"
    on by TechSavvybuff

    Pros -SIZE SIZE SIZE!!!!
    -brightness (110 lumens)
-resulution one of the best in its class... (1024x768)

Cons -the menu is a little wonky but after a minute or so i go the hang of it... :)
    -only 4:3

Summary I was looking for a I wanted something that i could take with me in my suitcase or easily travel with my computer, xbox, or AppleTv and this one was perfect! I got the aaxa m2micro projector directly from http://www.Aaxatech.com because it was cheap and offered the most power in this budget. I also grabbed a netflix account to stream movies. When it promptly arrived on my doorstep i was completely blown away from the resolution and the brightness that came out of this tiny little projector!!!!!

i was a little bummed about 4:3 but it was awesome that it auto "letter box's" the video instead of cropping. :)

  • "Great projector for the price"
    on by vplc

Pros Good resolution at 1024x768, and brightness at 110 lumens. HDMI input, as well as composite A/V input and VGA, reads USB flash drives and SD cards

Cons aspect ratio is only 4:3, remote functions can be confusing

Summary The AAXA M2 projector is a great projector for the price. While it is not the brightest or has the best resolution, it has the best combination of resolution and brightness. It has all the inputs you will need to connect nearly any device to it. The media player makes it extremely portable with flash memory, but if you have movies that are widescreen format, the 4:3 format resizes it, making the picture size a little smaller than it should be. The remote functions are kind of confusing to use, and can be a pain in the beginning. The performance of the M2 are otherwise very impressive.
