I have had three PE700 (one purchesed, and two replacements) and of three units have iled for one reason or another. Lamps, connections, etc. The picture quality is nice when its working but I've not been able to find on that does.

On top of that, my experience with their customer service department was the worst I've experienced. I would strongly suggest looking at another projector and company.

"Nice Picture quality, but not the most userfriendly and bad connection options"

We wanted to use it with a notebook, since it can feed it with high resolution content, but the notebook had only the old D-sub output and no DVI or HDMI. You can connect it, but you will need a special d-sub to BNC cable, you can't just buy at the next electronic store. And once you have one, it is still not easy, since if you just switch it to comp2 input (wich is BNC...) you won't get the picture.. So you have to switch it on RGB HD, but it is not in the manual.. We found this out accidentaly..
It has RGB, and HDMI input wich is good for future use with HD devices.
It has a crisp and bright picture, wich is nice to see, infact, it is a but too crisp for me. We have an Epson PT AE100 too, and its more smooth picture is much better to see at. But it is more expensive too.
It is quiet too, but it's sound is noticable..
The remote is not the most ergonomical, it has a separate button for every function and bulky too..
It has no lens shift, wich can be quite handy too (the Epson PT-AE100 has it), but it is not a big problem, if you don't move the projector too much around.
I can't recommend it unless you can't afford to spend a bit more for a better and more userfrendly one.

I have tried this 720p projector and it is really excellent for viewing movies , it can bring Hi-definition contents in your home for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately it is not 1080p but one can see the real difference between a DVD projected in SD and one in HD. The colors ,details and depth of image are really stunning. Brightness, luma and color simply amazing. It is very similar to film even though it is not 1080p native the results will suprise you. It is a competitor to definitely more expensive projectors. Here you take the advantage of DLP2+ (not available in SOny projectors) combined with 720p.
