Summary: I've been using my 4805 for just over a year and have been amazed at the picture quality of DVDs projected onto a 109" screen. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I broke down and ordered digital cable with an HD box. WOW!!!!! Even though the 4805 is not a true HD projector, it will convert the 1080i signal and produce a picture that, to my eyes, is sharper than my DVD videos. The difference between a standard channel and a HD channel is nothing short of amazing. The wife almost got airsick watching a stunt plane show on a HD channel.
The color production and black contrast is great. Match this up to a decent surround sound system and a 100"+ screen and you have the perfect budget home theater. And splurge on an HD box. You won't regret it.
