"CNET Review Incompetent"
4.5 starsonPros: Wonderful 1080p and 1080p/24 performance.
Cons: Brightness in film modes.
Summary: CNET as usual should not be the go to source for electronic reviews because they are so incomplete.
The color accuracy issues with this unit are only displayed in certain color modes. Which in the CNET review you can only guess because they don't specify what mode they were using along with other settings.
The color is very accurate if the projector is set on Color1 or Cinema1 mode. Most real reviews and electronic sites point this out clearly. Black levels are acceptable as well as SD performance. 1080p performance is excellent however the only real issue is brightness which could be resolved using a screen with +1.5 to 2.0 gain.
Again the CNET review again falls short of actually providing testing information to determine whether it is testing error or machine error.
If you want true 1080p/24 this is the most affordable unit to do so and does not fall short in color performance.

I concur. I've owned this Panny Projector for about a month and have essentially found no faults with it. The colors and temperature settings have so many options and adjustments, you can hone it right in on whatever you prefer...including very natural -looking reds and greens. It's a bargain! I'm extremely happy with mine.
