"Accurate Color but with Shortcomings" on by ISFVision

Pros: Can't find a projector with more accurate colors.

Cons: Black levels not up to par with the competition especially the JVC DLA-RS10 and the DLA-RS20. Samsung has a history of unimagineably bad quality control, product reliability, and completely unintegrated customer service.

Summary: The negatives associated with the projector's black level and past reliability issues make this projector a non-starter.

    "Eats bulbs" on by BernardY

Pros: Good picture, but not worth the price. The panasonic that replaced my Samsung cost 1/3 as much and looks better.

Cons: Eats bulbs due to a flawed design. Quality/build issues can cause focus issues.

Summary: The A800b and A900 were capable projects that were hindered by several big design flaws, and while they were good at the time, newer and cheaper projectors offer more bang for the buck.

"Customer service wore me out." on by noir_dark

Pros: For the 20 minutes mine worked it looked great

Cons: It worked for 20 minutes, then not at all.

Summary: I called customer service after my projector had the burnt bulb indicator light come on after only 20 minutes of use. Customer service had me call back many many many times- I guess the people who look after this particular product only work from 9-5 monday through friday, take 3 hour lunches and are in meetings the rest of the time. The times I was able to contact these service people, they talked to me briefly and promised me they would send an email with instructions to send the projector to a service place 500 miles south of where I live. No matter how many times I called back and irately pleaded for help I was only offered the same response "we'll send you and email". I called 3-4 times a week for 6 months before giving up. Fool me once shame on you, fool me hundreds and hundreds of times-shame on me. Now I have a $1000 hunk of plastic
    Thanks Samsung,

"If you are in Malaysia, don't buy this product" on by slamtilt

Pros: I am not sure. The ones they sell for Malaysian market comes with European plugs. Don't expect me to run around to buy an adapter !

Cons: 1. Plug doe not come in the British/Malaysian standard (they ask you to get lost and buy an adaptor)
    2. I have been trying to call their support for 1800889999
    3. They are over production for the Russian market.
    4. Made in China. Even the made in China st

Summary: If you are in Malaysia, don't buy this products. It is not meant for this market.
