"The value doesn't justify the cost on this mediocre projector."
Pros: Bright output, 4 bulbs for redundancy, network management, auto-sensing, good bulb life, easy to install and use, good support.
Cons: Network is for projector monitoring only, poor documentation, not as bright as I expected, additional lens needed to increase the projected distance.
Summary: I bought four of these to install in my company's conference rooms and one for traveling meetings. The main reason I picked it is because of the network connectivity; I assumed when I read the marketing material that I could give this thing an IP address and project images and video across the network. I was wrong. The network connection is only for remote diagnostics and monitoring of the projector itself, which is disappointing considering how much they cost.
On the good side, it is a simple projector to use, it's bright enough, it uses a 4-bulb system for redundancy (a big plus for me and the management staff), and the bulbs last a long time, even after users innocently unplug the power cord before the cooling period is complete.
I would not buy another one. I'm looking at the HP projector which lists full network functionality.

You must be talking about some other projector. The Sony VPL-PX41 only has one lamp.
