"Solid dependable service"
Pros: Great entry level HD projector
Cons: Auto power up is unnecessary
Summary: I bought this projector for my wife's work. She didn't use it afterall and I discovered it would do HD with a component video adapter. It worked like a champ and I was pleased with the widescreen DVD projection. Next I bought a low-end (USDTV) HDTV tuner and was blown away by the results. Great 16:9 picture at 83" diagonal (That's all the room I have in the bedroom.)
I do have to darken the room in the daytime but the room is by no means totally dark. I can still read the buttons on my remote control.
One odd quirk is the auto power up. The projector cycles on whenever power is supplied. That is good until you have a power outage. The projector will cycle up whenever power is restored whether you want it or not. I installed a power strip to make sure the power is physically switched off unless I intend to use it.
