Cons THE OLDER LS28 SYS. DID HAVE A DVD/CD PLAYER (NOT HD). THE LS235 DOES NOT INCLUDE A BLUE-RAY OR CD PLAYER.
Pros sound is awesome. easy set up. remote is awesome.
Cons it's a little overpriced.
Summary This LS 235 system turned out to be much better than I expected. I listened to it in a Bose outlet store and thought it sounded great but it sounds even better in my home! The bass is very deep and the two front speakers really give a great surround sound for the way my room is configured.
The most exciting thing for me though is the remote. I always wanted to buy a harmony remote to consolidate all my remotes but never did. The Bose remote does the same thing and is very easy to configure during set up. It even works all the menu options and wireless options for my TV and blu ray player. Awesome. I'm just worried that I'm going to drop it. It cost $150 for new one!!
Which brings me to my only con. The system is a little over priced. There are many systems out there that sound very good (maybe not quite as good, but whatever) and are less expensive. I chose to go with the LS 235 because my room will not accomodate surround speakers very well. I have nowhere to put them, so this system is perfect. I paid $2069 online which is better than the MSRP of $2299. It was a very tough decision for me at the time but I'm glad I have the system. I believe I'll have this one for many years.
