"Beware Melting Tweeters"
Pros: Plenty of ins/outs, 6.1 instead of 5.1, great power, great bang for the buck
Cons: Un-intuitive remote, speakers a bit "veiled" sounding, tweeters melted after 3 weeks.
Summary: I like Onkyo stuff very, very much. The reviews here helped me to decide on this system. I didn't want to spend a lot for my home theater set-up, even though I do have rather expensive tastes in stereo/audio equipment. So that being the case, I was not as blown away by the sound as some others are. But the price is indeed fantastic for what you are getting, however the reality is that this system is certainly not "audiophile" grade. It is just great for the price.
All that being said, I would have rated this system a notch or two higher, but after only 3 weeks of useage, all three front tweeters MELTED. I did an internet search, seems I am not alone. Check out:

When powering up one day, with volume turned low, no sound came out although it should have, and then all of a sudden wisps of smoke came out of the front speakers. All three tweeters of the front three speakers were melted. It seems that this has happpened to enough people that there should be some sort of word or acknowledgement from Onkyo, but I haven't heard of any. Fortunately I was within the time frame to exchange it for a new unit at the store, and now it has been problem free for 3 months, but I am still a little apprehensive.
