Can you handle the Awesome??

THEN GET THIS SYSTEM!
I could go into detail about the specs of the system, but you could just as easily find that out yourself. The functionality of the system is just fantastic. The sound quality is amazing. I love this for gaming and watching movies. The optic and HDMI inputs make for a fantastic surround experience.

Awesome system at an awesome price!
Pros: Balance of sound and features
Cons: Only 2 HDMI inputs. Will only upconvert to component, not HDMI
Review: Replaced my 8 year old Onkyo receiver and mismatched JBL / Kenwood / Infinity 5.1 speakers with this bad boy. Let me tell you that I am not one bit disappointed. The setup I had before was really good and blew away most of my friends and family's systems. However, with the addition of my HDTV, an upconvert HDMI DVD player, a component/HDMI DVD recorder, etc... the system just didn't have the connections that I really needed. Started looking at every system out there and found myself coming back to this home theater in the box deal.
Did my homework here on CNET, Onkyo's website, a few other websites, and Consumer Reports. The system was too new for most of the professional reviewers to have a review on it, but the system was getting very high marks from other consumers. CNET has been giving Onkyo HTIB systems high marks as well as Consumer Reports so I felt pretty confident that it would be a good system. After looking at it first hand at a local store and hearing the amazing sound it put out, I purchased it through an online outlet.
I now have 2 upconvert DVD players due to the included unit from this system, but I do have to say that I really prefer the Onkyo DVD over my Samsung. It seems to have a lot less hang up's over different types of discs. The receiver puts out a bang and it was a breeze to set up.
Still looking for a good set of speaker stands that I like and I'm still toying with replacing the included speaker wire with a better gauge. Other than that, if you're looking for a great system that doesn't require you to take out a second mortgage, you'd be a fool not to grab this system up at the price and quality combo that it has going for it.

Great product for the price
Pros: Good sound for movies and music
Cons: HDMI setup confusing with DVR
Review: After much debate and research, I purchased this product to integrate with my Sony KDF-E50A10 TV. Overall, the setup is not too complicated, but I could not figure out how to get the HDMI interface in sync with the Comcast DVR cable box I have, even after getting a DVI/HDMI and an HDMI/HDMI cable. The good news here is it work fine if you can live with component video as your link. I was able to get everything down to 2 remotes, 1 for the cable box, one for everything else. This unit is in a large room and there is plenty of volume (20 x 25 feet) This is my first experience with home theater and all in all, I am quite pleased with this unit.
