"Great sound, easy set up, stylish speakers that your wife will approve of."
Pros: HDMI is a big+ , auto set-up, powerful enough
Cons: Using Powered zone 2 will not work if only using HDMI, video switching is limited (i.e. cannot convert from analog to HDMI)
Summary: I bought this package a week before x-mas from Crutchfield.com and got it for 799.00, great price at the time!! It took me about an hour to set everything up I didn't use the color coded speaker wire because I felt the gauge of the wire was not adequate. The auto set-up microphone is great and works like a charm just don't make a sound when it is measuring it is that sensitive. I am a home theater buff and I have always loved loud clean sound, this system delivers exactly what it says it will. Since I use all HDMI I don't worry about the video switching con but the zone 2 con was disappointing. When using the powered zone 2 you must have analog connections to your DVD/CD, cable box, tivo, computer...ect. because the receiver will only process analog signals to the powered zone 2. So if you are running all HDMI like I am and you want to listen to a CD in the kitchen via. powered zone 2 while watching TV in the TV room you can't unless you have analog connections connected to the DVD/CD player. The FM tuner will work because that is an internal analog component. So the HDMI up converting/video switching to HDMI flaw and the zone 2 problem are my only tiffs with this system. But I am totally happy and I recommend it to everyone.
