Pros: Great Sound, Small Speakers, Blue Ray Player, 7.1 Digital Suround
Cons: Not enough optical in inputs, No HDMI Input, Autosetup MIC wire is too short, Sub distorts on hard bass when turned up, No HD Radio tuner, Not DLNA certified, no Netflix
Summary: This system does have some cons, but it is a remarkable system for the price. I've watched several blu-rays w/ 5.1 surround and it sounds great. I'm looking forward to getting to hear the 7.1 surround. This system makes DVDs look great also. This system has been the perfect match for my Panasonic TC-P50G10 HDTV. Panasonic has some great products that have even better cost value. I'd like some other companies to offer such a great product at such a low price.

Pros: iPod, 7.1 surround, Blu Ray
Cons: Very limited Viera Cast - no NetFlix or Skype. Very misleading as product on the web site links to Viera Cast showing these, but look closely at the fine print that says the 2008-09 devices have limited services.
Summary: OK but limited.

Pros: Fairly easy set up for a 7.1
Using for more than a year and no problems so far, good sound and I'm impressed so far.Cons: None so far.
Summary: Good sound and performance.
Now its equipped with Netflix too so good news. I think they are working on more apps to be added so thats good too. Overall, a great experience. -

Pros: Surround Sound is awesome
Cons: Won't play Blu-Ray movies, only DVD movies.
Summary: Love surround sound of DVD's, but this unit was a bit expensive for a DVD player. If I wanted a DVD player I would have purchased one!!! oh yeah, I did! Will not play Blu-Ray movies. Had the unit for 13 months now & have only played approx 4 Blu-Ray movies on it..... Have send in the unit w/in the first 2 months for service, uploaded new Firmware on it twice - nothing helped. Now out of warrenty & Panasonic is basically telling us "oh well"! They don't care they sold us a lemon, they want us to pay for repairs now even though I have documented service on the unit & many emails to them. Panasonic customer service sucks!

"Panasonic is Awful" on by studleyp
Pros: Sounds great when it worked
Cons: It stopped playing DVDs and only played blu ray discs. We recieved new firm ware that did nothing. This was in March. We had to pay to ship it to Panasonic and they shipped us a SC-BT 230, it costs $150 less and could only play 5 of the 7 speakers.
Summary: We have called Panasonic repetedely and have been hung up on, given phone numbers that lead no where, promised call backs that we never get and so on. We did get free shipping to send the BT230 back but still do not have a player to this day, 6 MONTHS LATER. We will never by a Panasonic product again. At this point I am in search of an Avenue to let every perspective buyer out there know what Panasonic offers after you buy.
