Pros: Sleek design, mountable, extra goodie option like XM, ipod hookup, wireless. Clear, balanced sound.

Cons: Not particularly powerful sound.

Review: I really like this system overall. It was a find at only $50 at my local thrift store, too!!

Does not work for all iPodsby TMuhlfelder - February 26, 2010

Pros: great for movies
looks good

Cons: does not work for most iPods (including shuffle, Touch, and all subsequent new generation iPods)
Wireless rear speakers cut in and out

Review: Strange that Panasonic would put out a product that claims to be iPod compatible yet only on certain iPods...
There is better out there.

Solid sound for the money.by JJP80 - March 3, 2008

Pros: Easy setup, great bass, clean sound, love the "tall boys".

Cons: HDMI cable not included.

Review: I purchased this from Costco last week for $399 and so far have been very impressed. I'm not quite sure why folks panned it with a 4. The bass shakes the walls in my living room, the wireless surround speakers are convenient, I can control my iPod through the remote and the picture looks sharp. I watched "Blood Diamond" the other night and the dynamic range seemed pretty impressive for $400. I'm not expecting miracles in this price range and those true audiophiles should be investing in Klipsch for $1000 per speaker if that's what they want. For me, it looks great, sounds great, and was easy to set up. I also liked that it came with a mic to automatically calibrate the speakers.

Nice if all you watch are DVDsby suprasteve - January 5, 2008

Pros: lots of power, wireless rears, 1080P w/ HDMI

Cons: No inputs, sub not particularly powerful

Review: This unit would be great if i just wanted to watch upscaled DVD in surroud sound but because it has no inputs i cant use it for blu-ray, playstation, etc. My bad i should have done more research before buying it. I do like the standup floor speakers and wireless rears and the ipod dock but its lack of inputs really kills it.

Taking it backby lylefile - November 20, 2007

Pros: Wireless rear speaker, good audio, great video

Cons: No digital audio input. No rear fade.

Review: Hard to believe this is being sold into the home audio market w/no SPDIF input. The 1050 has fiber digital audio, but no RCA SPDIF so I can't use that with my satellite dish either. But if you're satisfied with stereo audio inputs, it's great!

Pros: looks good

Cons: only 1 set of audio inputs, sub woofer is weak.

Review: i like the cosmetics of this pruduct, looks really nice.
the sub is weak.
i like the fact that the rear speakers are wireless but i think they are pretty weak also. specially if your using the surround sound mode. if you put it on the music mode , the rear speakers sound the same as all the speakers.
overall i dont think this system decodes surround sound all that good, then again im not an expert in surround sound speakers
