NICE!!! I enjoy it eminciley so far!!!
Pros: I really enjoy this surround sound system very much!!! I have personally had quite a few surround sound systems in my journey through life, and this is by far the best one i have ever had the pleasure of owning!! Keep it up Phillips!!!
Cons: The only thing that I could possibly call a con, would be the fact that you can not run video from other electronical components through it!!! That would be nice!!

Great sound for the buck
Pros: Great clear highs
Cons: A little weak on the lows.
Great highs but a little weak on the lows. If you want better lows spend 1200 bucks on a Bose setup.
The only real complaint I have is the packaging of the rear speakers. The wire should have been wrapped around a spool for easy unwinding. While unpacking, they get tangled easily and can extend your setup time.
The speaker connections are strong and easy to connect. The entire system has a slick clean look that beats out the cheap looking RCA or Sony for the same price.
Some complain of puny sound but this is easily fixed in the Audio Setup portion of the bios.
The point is, if you can only spend 200 bucks you probably don't have a big living room so this system will be perfect for you. If you want big bass, move out of your little apartment so you don't **** off your neighbors and buy a Bose for 2 grand.
The directional quality outdoes many higher dollar systems. I could really feel the "surround" part of "surround sound".

Haven't owned it for too long, but it's been good so far. See full review
Pros: Pretty basic HTIB with extras, can be used in conjunction with a TV to boost sound, gaming possiblities with AUX inputs (ProLogic II), Plays jpeg, mp3 and mpeg4 files via usb, am/fm tuner, modern look
Cons: Apart from the Theater DVD function the sound is dry. Cant find all-in-one remote codes for it, controls could use a tune up.
I decided to shell out a greater amount of money this time, and it was worth it.
Purchased this system for my parents for Christmas, the living room television needed a DVD unit and it seemed that all households apart from mine had a home theater system.
Set up was a breeze, the color coded cables came pre-wired with a decent amount of speaker wire (however if you want it through the walls and ceiling you'll have to go get some more). So, without reading instructions it went from in the box to playing a movie in about 10 minutes.
It has great picture (dont hold up my word up too much; I'm not HD yet -480 interlaced- but it looked good... pretty crisp) Sound shook the walls pretty well (We watched Pirates of the Carribian: Dead man's chest and werent dissapointed)
The short comings came later though. If you are not watching a DVD, but are using the radio, usb, aux, or tv features the sound is dry. IT doesnt have that deep wet bass that is found in HTIBs and cinemas. Where'd it go. What happened to that aweseome sound in the DVD.
I'm am amateur sound tech (albeit a darn good one) who uses mixing boards and that sort of stuff of the sort. and i fiddled around with the PRESET eq (that's where they went wrong). And that's why the sound isn't too deep.
So if you're looking for an HTIB that works well. You'll get it.
If you're a gamer who wants 5.1 its pretty good but grenades wont be fun because theres not enough boom.
Disc Jockeys and music lovers, take your chances if you wish, but you certainly can find better.
All in all not bad for a 200$ HTIB but the addition features leave deep sounds to be desired.
I figured out the problem with hollow sound (At least the TV and AUX functions). That depends on the source thats going into it. The TV outputs weren't bass heavy, despite the Televison speakers themselves being rich. My Playstation 2 and XBOX systems sound deep and bassy. The tv outputs were the problem. However the CD, Radio, and Mp3 functions leave things to be desired.
