Product description from manufacturer
Adding the HTP-3600 to your TV and DVD player (and other video sources) gives you intensely great home theater - and some excellent options. Its tall speakers are actually each comprised of a front speaker plus a top-mounted swivel-lock rear-channel speaker. Using Front Stage Surround, Pioneer's Direct Diffuse technology reflects these rear speakers' signals off your walls and ceiling, creating an exceptional surround sound field without extra speakers, wires, and stands. You can also completely detach the rear channel speakers and place them behind your viewing position for a conventional 5.1-channel surround configuration. OR, you can add optional XW-HT1 Digital Wireless Speaker and transmitter, for enhanced rear-channel surround. The system's receiver delivers 1, 000 watts total system power and features DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound decoding. Its 96kHz/24-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) delivers pure, accurate sound for both movies and music. The stylish, aluminum-finish design actually adds to your room's décor and complements many flat-panel TVs (including, of course, Pioneer's plasma panels). With Room Setup, your new system will automatically select the optimal acoustic settings. And, color-coded wires make the connections really easy.
