Pros: 5 disk, good sound.
Cons: I have had to send mine back twice to have it repaired.
Summary: I have had a problem where it says loading but the disk never loads and after some time it will look for the next disk and do the same thing over. I had it fixed once and a carraige assembly was replace and it worked for a couple of months then the same thing again. The second time in the shop they replaced several main components and now they are looking at getting me a replacement. I have not seen my DVD player for 4 months now. After talking to the repair shop they informed me that they have two others that were being replaced by the manufacturer.

Pros: Looks great(love the lcd panel), 5 disks, good sound
Cons: Problems loading disks after a few months or few years of use.
Summary: I loved this system when I first purchased it but now it wont load any dvds, and barely and CDs. I had the same problem with a previous Samsung home theater system. Will not purchase a Samsung again. Save a little more money to purchase a better system, this one isnt worth it.

Pros: Nice design
Cons: Hit and miss loading DVDs
Summary: I've had this unit a few years now and it has over time gotten progressively worse loading media. From the initial purchase a few dvds would not load at all. It did help at times to open the tray and manually turn the disk around (I know this sounds crazy) but this helped sometimes. This is the most fussy dvd player, as almost half of my movies will not load now. The player will stop at anytime it pleases so you will have to power off the unit in order to eject the dvd. And too bad there is an issue with DL - dual layer dvds. I just checked Samsung website for a firmware upgrade but no luck. The design of this unit is very nice, more so if you have little space for the 2 front speakers. The bass is over kill so it is necessary to change factory defaults,and increase the treble in order to hear dialog. I have to crank up the volume to near 40 setting in order to hear dialog at times. The only thing I enjoy with this unit is the dimmer feature for the cool blue lighted volume knob. I'm glad to see these units are no longer available for sale, at least not at the retail stores. Will plan on spending a bit more for a less fussy system.

Pros: lasted 6 years. no problems.
Cons: cannot connect extra speakers, and can only use the original ones.
Summary: if interested in buying this system, it is better to spend the extra bucks to up-grade to a better system. Also within the 1st year of owning the system, I began to have system problems while in the middle of a movie. Now, it is out of service, then again I got 6 years out of it. Not too bad.

Pros: Good for a Base dock for Aux 1 and 2
Cons: Stopped working after a few months.
Summary: Well this dvd player treated me VERY well for about a year almost. It started not playing my DivX Burnt Dvd's so i took it apart and cleaned the lense. this worked for a while bu then the same problem. Now it wont even play normal dvd's. I think it has to do with a low life span of the lense or maybe playing DivX broke the Player down.
Dont buy unless you're planning on buying a new system in about a year :P
