Pros Easy setup with Samsung Series 5 using HDMI cable. Optical audio cable link to Comcast converter box. Intuitive controls. Just relax and enjoy the sound. No need to spend more for Bose 321. This is even cheaper than Bose Cinemate which has no DVD.
Cons Having a little problem getting the Comcast remote to learn the DVD's code, otherwise not enought to complain about.
Summary I still am an audiophile, but price these days and ease of setup are top priorities. I have enjoyed my JBL Century 100's, towers made by Polk, and currenlty a tidy little B&W 2.1 system. This Samsung 2.1 is more than fine. It sounds nice. the price point is compelling.
Pros The bluetooth function is fantastic, I can now stream music wirelessly from my PC with no issues, I love it. The sound is great, I think. If you have a specific need, then the lack of inputs shouldn't phase you.
Cons Unless you put the receiver unit on your wall, you won't be able to see the display, further, since it's on top of the unit, it can't slide in somewhere within your unit comfortably.
Summary It was worth it for me, I'd been looking for a bluetooth solution, and the sound I think is top notch, more midrange than most home theater systems.
However, the remote makes you cycle through the inputs, so not being able to see what input you're on coupled with the delay between inputs (especially bluetooth) will become frustrating -- so I'd recommend you set it up such that you'll be able to see the screen.
