    Pros: Image and sound quality are excellent. Internet connectivity is also a plus.

    Cons: The USB wireless dongle that's included is useless. I'm using a wired connection to an Airport Express Base Station to access online features.

    Summary: The biggest issue so far is the above-mentioned freezing up of my own burned DVDs in the Blu-Ray player. Hopefully the firmware upgrade will have solved that. I was extremely leery after reading other reviews that said the firmware upgrade bricked the unit. After some additional online research, I found someone who said not to upgrade via the online connection, but to download it from the Sony site, which can be found at this link: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=BDVE770W

    After burning the CD-R (not DVD, as the instructions state), the upgrade process froze at step 3 for a couple of hours. Alarmed, I called Sony's Tech Support line, and was told to unplug the unit. After plugging it back in, voila! Firmware upgrade installed.
