"Very Poor Sound Quality"1.0 starson by jordansymonds
Pros: Good connectivity options and HDMI support, good price
Cons: Very poor sound quality, wired subwoofer, on all settings background music drowns out any vocals making it hard to hear.
Summary: I loved the review of this upon reading it, as well as the price so I went out and bought it. I had recently just bought a Polk Audio Surroundbar 3000 IHT so thought it would be neat to compare the 2 and pick the best 1. After setting up the Sony unit and figuring out the large and complicated remote I got it running. I found it lacking bass, and overall poor sound quality compared to the Polk unit. For an extra $100 dollars the unit I stuck with (Polk Audio) sounded far superior using only a digital optical cable. It also had a wireless subwoofer.
I think there are far better units than this Sony unit available for only a little more money.
