Pros: Great Sound, takes up minimal space
Cons: Somewhat of a confusing interface for setup. Once your initial preferences are set, you're good to go.
Summary: I did more research on a soundbar than i did my LED television (Philips 40" @ Walmart $599). I will say when I pulled it out of the box and saw how narrow the soundbar was (about 2.5") I thought there is just no way this is going to sound good. Before I go into that, let me just say the one thing i could not find out online was whether or not there were some kind of mounts on the back of the soundbar so that i could hang it on the wall. What Sony did in this case was there are 2 screw-type opening, the kind you would find on the back of a picture frame. To wall mount you will need to put 2 screws into your wall and then stick the soundbar over the screws. As long as you measure correctly, you'll be ok. You do not need to go out and purchase an expensive soundbar mounting contraption. 2 screws will do it.
So when I plugged in the equiptment and turned it on, my heart just sank becuase the sound was so hollow, the soundbar was so loud and the S/W was basically non existant -- BUT WAIT, i quickly learned that you need to set your peramiters such as S/W level, bass, treble, master soundbar volume. It took me about 20 minutes to get things to my satisfaction which is wall shaking deep bass and sound that has some bite to it, and WOW - I could not be more satisfied!!
I read a 1 or 2 reviews that said the sound was terrible and I honestly believe these people may have never set their sound preferences becuase it does sound so terrible out of the box. One thing i will say is that the interface is a bit confusing. It took me several attempts to get the hang of it regarding the initial setup & programing.
I cannot imagine me having another sound system for my wall mounted TV. I have limited space and this is just awesome. You won't be disapointed.
