Cons: Universal remote does not accept all brands

Awesome for the money!
Pros: I didn't expect a home theater in a box to deliver such a high quality sound for such a low price. The Dolby ProLogic II Movie mode is the best for watching DVD's! I paid $150 for it and it's worth it for that price.
Cons: The sound can use a little more mass, especially from center speaker. Not to say the bass reproduction isn't strong. There's really good seperation but it's just a little weak in the mid to low range.

Best on the market!!!!
Pros: So many features and so easy to use! What are you going to do with a $600-$2000 system when you aren't even going to use all of the features that they give you? This is by far one of the best systems on the market regardless of the price. Phenominal sound
Cons: Remote is kind of low-tech, but you can get a different one somewhere. I would consider buying a separate FM antennae. The included one doesn't work too well.

Great system for low price
Pros: I bought this system in Feb 2004 when it was just new into market and cost around 299$. I compared this with Sony FC series,Panasonic HT,JVC and other models. I dont regret the choice made. Its the best of the lot guyz..go for it if you want to rock in a
Cons: Remote is complicated and since this does not have a DVD, you will end up with multiple remotes. However dont even bother about remote as this is a small issue considering the performance of this great piece.

GREAT bang for the buck
Pros: Easy to use, more inputs than you'll ever need (I've got my digital cable box, DVD, iPod, VCR and XBox all hooked up and still have plenty of room for more add-ins), excellent sound quality for the money, and the solid receiver is a stand-alone so you can
Cons: Obviously this isn't a system designed to crank all the way up for a huge house-party, but short of that, you get really great sound quality for your movies and music.

Good bet for under $300
Pros: Easy setup, good sound with nice choice of dsp modes for different types of listening, relatively inexpensive with a lot of features, good manual
Cons: Poor speaker gauge quality, reviews I read recommend min. of 18 gauge, cubersome fm tuning with no fm tuning dial, remote was cheap and not universal

an affordable luxury!
Pros: This system has GREAT features, full 5-band Graph. Equalizer, too many sound fields to mention, great input/outputs, including digital/optical and a stylish package. This Yamaha won't rock your great-room, but for us apartment and small home dwellers, you
Cons: quasi complicated menus, but who cares, if you are looking at this system seriously, you know you can learn to navigate the menus and get WAY more out of your home theater system than some HTIB that doesnt even include a "REAL" receiver, stay away from al

Best sounding HT in it's price class.
Pros: Simple the best sounding in it's price class. I had Bose shelf speakers that i moved to the spare bed room because the sound was so good with the supplied speakers. I never turned my old system up loud. Not that it sounded bad, it just did not sound great
Cons: Ummmm.....
