"Works Great!" on by narf4747
Pros: Fast, auto switching, works with blu-ray, passes audio
Cons: bright light on front
Summary: I purchased two different switches. One didn't work at all. The other wouldn't pass the audio signal. This unit works perfectly. I have a xbox 360, samsung 1400 blu-ray, and an upconverting DVD hooked up. They all work great.

"PRODUCT DOES WHAT IT'S DESIGNED TO DO" on by davzway
Pros: Very slim, small black box, allowing for easier placement in an entertainment wall unit, has a small remote control that works at least 12' away in direct sight of the switch itself. Indicator lites are bright blue and easily seen.
Cons: Blue indicator lights are brighter than necessary, not a deal breaker unless you hate color Blue.
Unit does not put an on-screen menu on TV (not in specs, this is 'wish it had ', NOT negative for a feature not working, personally labeled remote backSummary: There may be less expensive units which do the same job.. cannot speak for those. This unit does what it advertises. When your TV has two HDMI inputs and you need more, this unit will allow you to install cables from four units to one of the HDMI inputs on TV. Using PS3, DVD recorder, Blu-Ray DVD player, audio-visual receiver (Onkyo which will never be purchased again, should have bought Sony or Marantz), B&O audio, computer with HDMI access to internet, and formerly had DirectTV DVR HD unit (NO LONGER HAVE DIRECT TV AND ADVISE NO ONE USE THEIR SERVICE. ONLY COMPANY'S WORSE THAN DIRECT TV IS HUGHES SATELLITE FOR INTERNET... AND DELL FOR ANYTHING- Email for ugly detail if important, just say you were warned if you read this) In the 60+ crowd, built Altec Lansing Voice of Theater speakers in High School and Marantz amplifier (tube type) before college., so I've been around, occupation General Contractor, Construction Consultant.

"Works most of the time..." on by mikemike2121
Pros: Auto-switching but has remote as well. Passes audio fine.
Cons: BRIGHT blinding blue lights. No power switch. Gets stuck on Dish DVR.
Summary: I have xbox360, PS3, Dish DVR, and PC. IOgear switcher will not sense Dish DVR at times, have to use the remote. No way to power cycle the box except to unplug. The bright front lights are not labeled - you will not know which device is on-line at any time unless you remember their order. Black tape will blank those lights but that defeats the purpose of all those lights to begin with. Small price to pay, IMO. I would look further if I were to do this again.

"I would give it half a star, but it worked for 3 months" on by watsdamattau
Pros: When it works it does a decent job.
Cons: Broke after only 3 months. They give a 3 year warranty, but expect you to have proof of purchase and your original store receipt available. If you don't have it, kiss your unit goodbye. The automatic switcher sometimes doesn't work.
Summary: This unit was perfect when I first purchased it in December. The auto switching would get mixed up periodically. However, it performed fine with my PS3, Xbox360, and my digital TV tuner plugged in.
Earlier this week I plugged my PS3 back into the unit and suddenly there's speckles all over the screen. Then there's video noise from it trying to sync up. Suddenly it stopped trying to find the PS3. I tried resetting the PS3 and redoing everything. Same thing. I tried numerous HDMI cables and they all experienced the same problem when the PS3 finally came up in port 1. I tried to get an RMA from IOGear and they said no original store receipt and proof of purchase, then no warranty work. They expect a person to keep the box and receipt for as long as 3 years...and be able to find them. So I now have a $100 e-waste item.
So 3 months of use and now it's dead. What a lousy product and what lousy customer service. -
"Don't waste your money" on by valleybob
Pros: Easy setup
Cons: Doesn't auto switch
Summary: I use this with a Dish Network box, a DVD player, and a Vudu box. When any of these are turned on, it does not switch over to the newly turned on input. It does not work AT ALL with a Vudu box. Forget about the remote, it doesn't work at all. Stay away from this product.
