"You get what you pay for."1.5 starson by jmconsulting
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install. Works fine for older HDMI products, but not a true matrix. It is a switch/ router
Cons: Does not work well with newer HDMI products such as blu-ray players. Passes through interference on both Sony and Samsung BDPs. Customer service is poor and no technical expertise. Unit is a switch, cannot display same input to both outputs.
Summary: Unit does not work as advertised. Don't look for a cheap model when it comes to HDMI matrix. Be sure your product has good customer service. Contact the company before you buy and ask for a technician and go over your devices to make sure they guarantee they are compatible and upgradeable. Better units will display input at multiple outputs as any Matrix must do to be called a matrix. This unit remote is also poor as you have to move a input device to an empty input setting before you can display a second input. The unit displays bands of noise interference with different Blu-ray units (tried Sony and Samsung). Unwatchable. Customer service and technical support both denied any issues and simply refused to believe it was their product. They inferred the blu-ray players were bad. Sure sign of a bad product is poor customer service.
Bottom-line: Skip this unit and be willing to spend $200-$500 dollars for one that will work with 1080p, 120-240hz Displays, deep color and lip syncing.
