"SATA II RAID 0, 1 only controller, no Vista support, no-non-raid configuration possible"
Pros
Easy setup for non-OS use and one of very few PCIe SATA controllers
Cons
No non-raid configuration possible,so useless without just one hard disk connected. No Vista support.

I have struggled to find a decent implementation for this rather expensive SATAII controller. After I bought the controller I found out that a non-raid configuration of one or two connected disks was impossible. So don't buy this card to attach a single hard drive. No Vista drivers are provided for Vista on both the CD and the Belkin website and I have found out that the bios of this card (in order to configure the raid 0 or raid 1) does not show up on the MSI K9AGM2 motherboard I have tested it on. On ASUS mb's however the bios of this card is accessible. Unfortunately I have not found a useful application of this product which does not imply that you couldn't find a purpose for this card either on your XP system, especially when all your SATA connections are already in use, there is no free PCI slot on your mobo for a cheap SATA (RAID)controller and you need some extra RAID I safety for critical data files. The chipset on this card is Silicon Image Sil 3132. Please note the interface is (one lane) PCI Express so it won't fit into a regular PCI slot (and don't confuse this PCIe slot with the PCIe graphics slot for your videocard). This card has two internal SATA connections; a different version of this card has one internal and external eSata connection, always check which version you are buying.
