"Product simply didn't work"
1.0 starson by TM1234321Pros: Has the right idea - 2.5/3.5 Sata or IDE to USB 2.0 - your choice. Would be very convenient.
Cons: Two computers I tried would not recognize either a 2.5" SATA drive or a 3.5" IDE drive. The drives would not show up under "My Computer".
There were many returned and repacked boxes at Fry's. This should have been a hint that there was trouble.Summary: The 3.5" IDE drive showed up one time, but I could not get this feat to repeat. Perhaps this was a bad batch? The computers I tried them on were both running XP (maybe it was designed for Vista), a 3.2GHz Intel P4 Northwood, and a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo Lenovo Laptop.
