Look elsewhere.

Pros: Cheap, great for fly by night operations.

Cons: Unsuitable for publishing needs, color controls erratic

Review: Corel is fine for one-off projects, but if your business requires consistency, stability and reliability, look elsewhere. Corel has failed to keep pace with Adobe, and while you save a lot of money up front, you will lose a lot more money and time at the back end as you try to get it to work as advertised.

An Absolute Gem Of An Application!

Pros: Incredible Value, Runs Fast, Feature Rich & More

Cons: Not Viewed By Graphics/Ad World As Pro Tool

Review: I have used Corel Draw since 5....with a few missteps, it has gotten better and better. With Ver 12 it is EASIER and more precise than ever before. It just amazes me that so many pro graphics people don;t use this program. I can turn out work that is the equal of anything that can be done on Adobe products, but Adobe is clearly becoming the standard not withstanding. Corel needs to promote the new version more because once a person works with it, they won;t want to switch.

have been using the program since version 9 and love the improved Coreldraw 12 package

Pros: clipart, photos, ease of use and fantastic layout abilities make this a great program

Cons: pre-press ISSUES drive me insane. Still too many bugs!

Review: I am a loyal CorelDraw user but always find i have to defend my reason for using it! Corel 12 has definately been improved compared to earlier versions especially with regards to output errors. However I am still experiencing major problems when submitting PDF files for prepress and printing. SO FRUSTRATING!

Best combination of UI and WYSISWYG

Pros: Very easy to use, with a lot of power, not bloatware

Cons: Resource hog, can crash out on you

Review: The very best thing about the Corel suite is the user interface - very intuitive, and very customisable, unlike certain other brands. Most users won't ever need a quarter of the power in CorelDraw, but that headroom means you will always find a way to achieve the graphic effect you want - and it looks how it will print. Photo-Paint, the raster graphic application, is easily more friendly than PhotoShop, but the tablet support is extremely poor. And you will need lots of RAM, which isn't a big deal these days, but CorelDraw does like to throw its weight about, processor-wise. So save often. And it is VERY fussy about your font installations - problems here, which you should sort out before they show up unbidden, can force a reinstall. But it's designed for the PC, and it's the best on it.

BUGS, BUGS, BUGS

Pros: all from 11 with some interesting functions

Cons: a lot of bugs

Review: Not recommendet to upgrade from 11 to 12.

Spectacular!

Pros: Easily comparable to Photoshop Suite. Excellent Value. Great Customer Support.

Cons: Hold time on customer support is somewhat long.

Review: I have been using the suite since version four. Currently I use Photoshop CS, Macromedia Suite and Draw Suite 12. I still go back to Draw to do many of the things that the other programs do because Draw does them better.

Does everything I need then more

Pros: Draw is easily customizable and powerful.

Cons: Upgrade price a bit high

Review: Draw is easily customizable and powerful. It?s able to do simple desktop pub work well and signs excellently. Very simple to manipulate graphics.

User Rating: 9/10

Pretty good software at a very good price

Pros: Best Graphics User Interface anywhere

Cons: nothing significant

Review: I've tried most photo editors, but I still keep coming back to Corel Graphics Suite's PhotoPaint. It has always worked well for me and never gets in my way. No intrusive activation scams either!

User Rating: 9/10

Widely used in the sign industry/ all the features a pro needs

Pros: Clean readable interface - Full featured

Cons: Not as popular in DTP Industry

Review: I am a professional designer and I used CorelDraw since version 4. I never liked Adobe because of its interface - small icons, modal windows and roll-ups do not dock etc.
I have found Corel to match Adobe in every version. I think they match perfectly. To me Corel is a lot easier to use and the interface a lot cleaner and easier to understand.
I find CorelDraw to be a bit more on the technical side of design, offering great precision very easy. That's why the sign industry prefers it. Adobe is more towards the artistic side.

$100 More and get Adobe CS2 Upgrade

Pros: Price lower than Photoshop CS2 upgrade.

Cons: $100 more and get the Worlds gratest: Photoshop CS2 Upgrade.

Review: for $100 more you can get the Photoshop CS2 upgrade, Corel is proced too high.

User Rating: 8/10

Not Leaving Adobe

Pros: Price Price Price

Cons: No Brand Awareness

Review: It is a good product, but I'm sticking with Adobe, the tried and true. Corel will never get brand loyal Adobe fans to switch, price isn't enough.

User Rating: 5/10

In 21st century, still destroys files

Pros: Fairly thorough, relatively easy to use

Cons: A 1980s antique that (still) obliterates files

Review: I had been using the Corel suite since version 2. I had periodically updated simply because it was less expensive and time consuming than buying and learning a new product.

Unfortunately, Corel has never been able to bring its products to the level of robustness one has grown accustomed to over the past DECADE. The product crashes frequently and will completely destroy your working Corel files. This is a quaint reminder of software in the 1980s. Sadly, I?m not the nostalgic type, so this feature is lost on me.

At this point in my career losing a day of work is more costly than several Coral suites, so Corel has finally and irrevocably found its way to the trash bin. I recommend that potential buyers save themselves the trouble and look elsewhere.

User Rating: 9/10

Makes IllustratorCS look sick.

Pros: You name it... Corel covers most of the bases for any true graphics professional. The work flow between apps in the suite beats Adobes inter-application co-operation hands down! The perfect combination for a working professional studio, is CorelDraw suite

Cons: PhotoPaint IS missing a couple of small features that Photoshop has that would make it a bit nicer. Like the healing brush. But if you have any REAL talent to bring to using graphics software, you really can easily live without it.
