Excellent Stereo

Pros: Excellent Sound Quality, Easy to Use, Bargain Price

Cons: Scrolling Speed

Review: First of all, some background: I bought the Alpine unit for $149 from Crutchfield to replace my stock Accord stereo, so with the iPod cable, the total came out to $179. On that note, I wish to thank Crutchfield for their excellent customer support (first good experience I've had with that route), for thier easy self-installation instructions, and for supplying all the required parts for installation for free. Simply put, buy from them and you won't be dissapointed. Now, on to the Alpine head unit. Even with my stock speakers installed, the sound quality is excellent; much clearer, more powerful sound than with the stock head unit. It is extremely simple to use one you learn one or two idiosyncrasies (e.g. pressing "mode" to start a song within a playlist, but "play/pause" to play a whole playlist/album). Overall, it is well worth the money, my only (very minor) complaint is that the scrolling for an Artist near the end of the alphabet such as ZZ Top can take a little longer than I would have hoped, but I still believe this is the best iPod interface for a head unit (thus not including the Drive+Play) out there.

High Quality/Lowest Priced iPod ready Head Unit

Pros: Low price, excellent FM tuner, simple iPod control

Cons: Installation frame sensitive to damage

Review: Installed the unit in Acura Integra and everything works. Installation frame not 100% compatible with Integra's disk compartment which is supposed to attach to the head unit.

Onlinecarstereo.com scratched out the serial number to void the manufacturer's warranty. The unit only came with the seller's 1-year warranty and a 14-day money back guarantee w/15% restocking fee and will not reimburse return shipment.

Only tried to the AM, FM radio tuners, CD player and iPod player so far. They all worked flawlessly and the Bass, volume control, Title function and FM sensitivity are excellent. Overall the tuner is superior to the old Pioneer tuner this unit replaced.

Haven't tried to play an MP3 CD, yet.

INSTANT IPOD RESPONSE! WORKS SEAMLESSLY!

Pros: FAST, INSTANT RESPONSE, PERFECT SOUND REPLICATION

Cons: A LITTLE TRICKY TO LEARN, AND I RECOMMEND A REMOTE

Review: Very nice entry level Ipod car solution, decent power and the best sound reproduction and response in navigating. A bit tricky at the beginning to learn all the nesting, but after a few times, no problem... Not as fast as the ipod itself in actual scrolling.

Great sound for a great price.

Pros: Quick, Easy to use, great sound

Cons: glare on screen sometimes, only 1 set of preamp's which might be troublesome to some

Review: I just bought this headunit today, as soon as I turned it on it sounded crisper and clearer than my factory radio, easy to setup and control, and reads mp3 cd's pretty quickly, the one downside is the glare it gets from the sunlight sometimes makes it harder to read. Great buy and I can't wait to buy and install my Alpine amp and JL sub to this, it'll sound awesome.
