"Bad Color when not on Photo Paper" on
Pros: Individual, inexpensive ink cartridges for each color, which is good since you will be changing them a lot! Great pictures using Glossy Photo Paper. Beautiful, crisp black/white text documents that print quickly.
Cons: Although you get very nice quality photos when printing on glossy photo paper, graphics on any other type of paper are terrible! They come out hazy and all of the colors are muted and blotchy. Images on plain paper feel cold and washed out, with a green

"Great value....but not much more" on by Bryanhoop
Pros: Cheap, cheap cartridges, nice b&w, quick
Cons: Color banding, plasticky, doesn't hold much paper, unreliable
Summary: My printerhead was recieved damaged from the manufacturer...caused white lines to be printed between each colored line. The printer was taken to the nearest repair center and fixed within 48 hours free of charge. Now prints color very nicely, but it does have noticeable color banding, so I would definately not use this for photos. The printer also does not hold that much paper at one time, so you will contantly need to replace it.

"Great product for the price, very good quality prints and ink is super cheap." on
Pros: Ink is cheap, great print qualities.
Cons: Sometimes it takes a few seconds to warm up, nothing major just something I noticed. And when this is the only con, you know its a good printer.

"DONT just compare specs on the box" on
Pros: Before I came across this printer, I was a long time user of Epson printers, and then a Canon S600. After over a year of not using it, the ink jet heads were clogged. (no, deep cleaning didn't help at all). Having learned my lesson, I tried an HP printer
Cons: Haven't yet figured out how to change the default print mode. You can create other profiles, but it's like 4 clicks through tabs, and a list to actually select it... shortcut keys to profiles would be just bliss, and bring score from 96% to 98%.

"You want this printer!" on by bid32
Pros: Inexpensive, doesn't jam, ink lasts forever, fast, sharp pictures
Cons: No USB but every computer I've owned has a printer port
Summary: It takes an act of God to get me to write something like this but after using a HP and Espom printer with much frustration, I had to let others know this printer is virtually maintenance free. No paper jams or extra pages coming through when printing unlike the other two mentioned.
We print the Daily Racing Form for our local horse track 5 days a week (about 28-30 pages) and the black ink cartridges last a long, long time (and they're cheap--check ebay). color pictures seem to turn out well on photo paper (I'm not a professional photographer so it works for personal stuff).
I actually decided to buy this printer after reading reviews on CNET last year and I couldn't be happier!! Any negative reviews have me scratching my head...
