"Outstanding Mobile Printer"
on by eottmanPros Small footprint, fast print speed and a very nice photo printer
Cons A little on the expensive side, but I think the results are worth it
Summary Needed a dependable mobile printer that had blue tooth capability to connect to my MacBook Pro. After reading CNET's rating, I purchased the iP100 and I have no regrets. The print quality and speed is outstanding and the compact size is a plus. I purchased a generic bluetooth USB adapter and my MacBook picked it up almost immediately so no cable from computer to printer is required. Its the perfect little portable printer companion for the laptop. Another plus is the beautiful photo's it produces. Just a great little printer that can tackle pretty big jobs.

"Great quality, very portable, but toner too expensive"
on by sjkuserPros Remarkably fast. Print quality's excellent--even for photos (not pro photo quality, but v. nice). Lightweight, folds into a neat rectangle & adapter isn't cumbersome. Easy setup. New models have wi-fi (I haven't tried it yet). Really impressive.
Cons Machine's worth the high $, but toner is ABSURDLY expensive and runs out fast. Also, heavy graphics print quite wet and smear easily--machine automatically senses ink concentrations and pauses for drying time, but you still need to watch that.
Summary Despite the insultingly high price and low output of the toner cartridges, this is an excellent choice if you need to produce professional looking documents on the road. Easy to set up, easy to use. If ink weren't so expensive, I'd consider it as an auxilliary color printer for my office.

"Great option for documents, invoices, etc"
on by miksurfPros Compact, blazing fast letter & envelope printing for my design studio.
Cons Older design software, like Macromedia Freehand MX (we still use!) may require converting files to EPS format first.
Summary I am a professional designer, photographer, and I purchased the Pixma 100 to back-up my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer which shouldn't be wasted on mundane needs: invoices, envelopes, small ad proofs, hard copy for book text etc. I didn't like what was offered as Laser printers, so I rolled the dice and bought this. Mainly because I like the size, and I have an affinity for Canon as a photographer. Bottom line: I love this little machine. It prints text blazing fast, and the color printing is also fast and fairly accurate in terms of reproducing my letterhead, etc. If your needs match mine, including the fact that I can take it along when traveling, then jump on it. I am using it with a new dual-intel MacBook Pro, OSX Leopard. I rate it at 9 because although it prints fairly accurate color proofs, there is some slight banding. Totally OK for quick cheap color samples, or snapshots. Anything that really requires perfection will be done on the Epson; that's its role. This fulfills its own role in the studio perfectly.

"Excellent best printer I've owned for the size"
on by RIJAL4Pros Compact prints clean and fast and I paid only $149.00 at Best Buy not an open box Brand! Spankin! New! It goes well with Sony VAIO VGN-NR98E I bought backin October for $425 at the same store
Cons What Cons?
Summary You can't always get what you want but sometimes you get what you need.

"Not so portable printer."
on by quazy1328Pros None I can think of.
Cons Printer is sold as mobile printer but does not include a battery. The only place to get a battery is through BatteriesPlus or Canon and they both said that it would take a week.
Summary If you travel a lot and need a actual portable printer then I do not recommend this printer. It is useless unless you are always near a power source.
