"BUY Printer at your own risk! V. Poor technical design" on by 98faces
Pros: feature rich - one of the first to market with wifi connectivity
Cons: Poor technical design
Summary: When failed printer was sent to service centre - the diagnosis - the mainboard, and every circuit fried - due to a short circuit caused by the print head, and the was current carried through the frame into every circuit board, frying them. State - Not repairable.
Very bad technical design - a single short circuit was allowed to carry the current to short circuit every other circuit in the printer; it should have been isolated. -
"Printer fails to complete jobs" on by Iveyleeger
Pros: Looks nice on the desk
Cons: Consistently quits printing partway through page; network and wireless connection unreliable
Summary: I simply cannot get this printer to reliably print a page. SOmetimes it does, sometimes it quits halfway through. The wireless connection was useless. THe network conn. unreliable. APparently it only really works over USB. SOrry I bought this thing.
P.S. I can't stand it's stupid little beep that happens every time you start a print job. It never starts a job okay. -
"Awesome Printer at Great Price" on by daz3dpanda
Pros: Great quality, Beautiful design
Cons: The front flap seems a bit flimsy, weak.
Summary: I am not a printer expert nor do i print much photos (due to expensive ink) but i do like this printer very much. it's small and compact, the square design allows it so fit neatly on my desk. some printers have that akward designs are uncompatible with our desktop. though when i bought this there was a newer model that came out with all of the same capabilities and built in fax machine for the same price. i was a little upset but i didn't have enough paitence to re-box and return it. prints sharp and good colours, definatly recommend anyone to buy this if they do not want spend the money for a laser jet.

"Best printer for the money!!!" on by krzys
Pros: fast, automatic duplex printing, wireless, great 4x6 photos
Cons: needs better software than Canon provides to print photos (Adobe CS)
Summary: This is my second Canon printer and I won't buy any other trademark. Cheap on ink and produces great 4x6 photos. Use Canon Photo Paper if possible. You may also try Kodak, but it takes time to learn how to get best results.
