Pros: Affordable off the shelf price w/o ink.
Cons: Ink slightly varies in price from retailer to retailer. Price of ink is approximately 75% of original printer cost. (That is rounding down.) Not a great deal.
Summary: Not a great deal.
Original price assumption was wrong. Bottom line: a consumer will drop $68 to $70 for a packet of the four ink colors. Ink consumption was high. With four ink re-fills you bought the printer twice.

"Great printer for the price. Can buy for under $50" on by BUZATHOME
Pros: Inexpensive to use. You can buy generic cartridges for $5 each (holds 4 cartridges). Colors are brilliant and printer is trouble free if you use the right brand of remanufactured cartridges.
Cons: Although colors are brilliant, this is not a photo printer.
Summary: Great printer for the price if you pay under $50. Brillinat colores. Trouble free. I own 3 of them and would buy one again.
