"Unreliable CD Printing - Now on my third printer"

Summary: I bought this printer primarily to print on CDs. The first printer worked well for about 3 months, then would not take the CD in, I had to nudge it. I called Epson and they exchanged it with a refurbished unit. The second unit worked well for about 3 weeks then the monitor told me there were parts in the printer that were worn out and it needed to be serviced. I called Epson and they told me they no longer exchange printers and gave me 3 service shops in the area. I took it to one of their authorized service shops and after 3 days they told me nothing was wrong, they just needed to reset the timer. When I brought the printer back home, it would not print on a CD at all, it took the tray in and spit it back out and ask me to reload the tray. I called Epson and argued about service and they finaly agreeded to exchange it again. I now have the third unit and it doesn't take the tray in, I have to nudge it -- back to where I was on the first unit. Photo printing seems to work OK, but I certainly would not recommend this unit for printing CDs.

I bought this printer for the sole purpose of printing CDs and DVDs. What a nightmare. It takes at least 6 attempts to get a CD/DVD to print. Unless the feeder tray is inserted perfectly into this temperamental machine, it just spits it back out. Looking for another brand.

Printing a dvd or cd is impossible. This is something the company new about it. So its a rippoff. I never will buy any epson product and you shouldn't either.
