"Excellent Photo & CD/DVD Printer"
4.0 starson by ebeamsalesPros: Good photo quality, decent print speeds, good CD/DVD quality for price
Cons: CD/DVD tray sometimes gets stuck, uses much ink when printing photos
Summary: The primary reason I bought this printer was because I wanted to print directly onto CDs and DVDs. Since Epson seems to be the only manufacturer with a printer to do this, I bought the R320. The quality of the printout onto CDs and DVDs is excellent provided that your photo/scan is of good quality. I usually scan at 200/300 dpi to get the best print. In addition, th equality of regular photos is fantastic on premium glossy photo paper. I didn't even realize how useful the LCD screen and memory card slots were until a year after I had been using the printer. I was used to uploading all my photos from my digital camera straight into Photoshop and then painstakingly saving each one with a meaningful filename. Then I grew a brain and started using the memory slots and some software to make the photo uploads more automated, and it saved me a lot of time. If I have one criticism about this printer, is that the CD/DVD tray sometimes gets stuck, or it will be too far out/in when the printer starts to print, and the print cycle will get out of whack and the tray will jam. The arrows you are supposed to use to align the tray are inaccurate, so I have to guess based on previous use. Overall, I am impressed with this printer, its quality and the general ease of use.
