"I bought two of them!"5.0 starson by teachestheworld
Pros: The printer is inexpensive, relatively compact, easy to set-up and use, and has proven to be dependable (I haven't had the misery of jammed papers with this printer). The ink cartridges that came in the box also lasted a long time.
Cons: There is no scanner. The replacement ink is relatively expensive (though not as bad as some).
Summary: This is a simple printer. As a teacher, I love it. I needed an inexpensive, yet reliable printer to go on my desk so I could attach my personal laptop and print lesson plans, teacher created activities, and internet articles. I don't do an enormous amount of full-page color printing, so my view on that may be skewed.
What I found was a super printer for the job. I found the printer at WalMart for $28.00. For that price I can buy it, use it until it dies, then just get a new one. (Honestly, It prints as well as the expensive printers my old school corporation provided.) It isn't a super sturdy piece of equipment, but it works quite nicely. It even comes with a small tote bag so you can take it with you if you need to. It is small enough that you can do that and closes up into a little rectangular box so no parts are hanging off to break off.
To close, I wouldn't pay more than $30 for this printer. Having said that, it is well worth the thirty bucks. If you get it and don't like it, donate it to a local teacher. I'm sure she will love it.
