"Photo quality paper feed problems"
Pros: Photo quality is great when it decides to pull in the photo quality paper. 4 x 6 photo paper still works ok but that's all. Regular 8.5 x 11 paper works ok for basic non-photo printing.
Cons: This printer would accept photo quality paper (11 x 8.5) for about 1 year then simply refused after that. It thinks the paper has been pulled in and starts squirting ink, which ends up all over the rollers and printer internals. You end up with photos c

I have the same problem. The printer is great -- when it feeds photo paper properly. Actually, I get the same problem with 11X17 plain thick paper. This 1220c also quit feeding properly after about one year. I just dug a lug of ink about one inch square from the right end of the cartridge run. I found this forum by looking for 1220c troubleshooters. It seems that HP doesn't want owners to open the case to make any adjustments. I have a Ryobi 18v reciprocating saw that may help, though.
