"It does work with a macintosh"
Pros: Very pleased with printed cd result
Cons: hp did leave out product to use with macs
Summary: I purchased the printer to use for printing cd & dvd products. It is true that hp did not provide the printing software for the mac in the box. I made the call to hp support and talked with the mac support staff. Was tolda that hp did not do it right and that I had to download software for the D5160 which had the templates for the cd&dvds. I did this and using the hp photosmart create found the cd templates, loaded my images and information on the template and printed. It worked and the result was excellent and it printed very quickly. It is an excellent printer for my needs. But it is not a plug and play. It requires some thought before tinkering.

Omnigroups Omnigraffle, which came with my power book is the perfect software for this. It's under 100 bucks if you buy it and it's an awesome design software that blows anything windows or even open office draw out of the water
