Pros: Amazing photo quality prints
Cons: Sucks down ink quick
Summary: I purchased this printer mainly for it's reputation for great photo results. I was not disappointed! People ask me all the time if I printed those pics myself or sent them to a lab. Only downside is it does go through ink fast at highest quality setting. The photo quality is worth it though!

Pros: Excellent color prints. Easy to use. Prints directly onto cd & dvd's.
Cons: Clunk clunk, click click, clatter clatter, buzz buzz... out comes an excellent color print. Clunk clunk, click click... etc etc etc. out comes a second color print. Oop's, time to replace the cartridge. Expensive ink, hp support is terrible.
Summary: Don't purchase this printer unless you absolutely have to print onto cd/dvd's

Pros: Excellent print quality. The photo quality is amazing. Has separate photo paper tray and an adapter that allows you to print on printable CD's/DVD's
Cons: This printer is a BIG ink HOG. Even in draft mode, you will go through a lot of expensive ink cartridges with this printer.
Summary: The print yield is no where near what HP claims. Even in draft mode, the most modest user will be replacing cartridges often. With the standard yield cartridges, you will get about 4-6 photos at best (4"x6" paper). With the extra capacity cartridges you will get about 8-12 photos at best (4"x6" paper). If you're printing a lot of photos, you'd do better with another printer. Though I will say the print quality on photos is amazing...but not a good deal for the cost of the ink. You can do just as well taking your pictures down to the local self serve print stations available at most drug stores and discount stores. For the money, it's a very good printer, but you'll go broke buying ink for it.
