  • "This thing is a pile of electronic junk."
    on by fredsmythe

Pros iT LOOKS PRETTY SITTING ON YOUR DESK. jUST DON'T PLUG IT IN..

Cons Paper jams, drinks ink by the gallon, never get a print you expect, errors on almost every attempt to use.

Summary I bought this after reading many reviews. Right after it came out. It connected to my home network without too much trouble, but that is when the problems started. Many problems. Connected by wire and was able to get it to print. However almost every print job had a problem. Constant errors as to print tray usage. If you shift to 4 x 6 it says load paper. Even if the paper tray is loaded. It will tell me ink is low or out even if the ink cartridges are new.
I have made 25 usable prints over the last 2 years. The printer sits in junk pile now. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

  • "An error machine"
    on by higgsbozon

Pros On the rare occasion when it works, it does a good job and is fast.

Cons The thing is CONSTANTLY having paper jams, having ink expirations, having carriage jams (with no jams). I hate this thing. In the trash with it.

Summary This is the worst piece of hardware I have every purchased, hands down.

  • "The negative reviews are 100% accurate"
    on by violeteyez

Pros Wireless connection...if you can get it to work

Cons This is the most unreliable product HP has ever made. Every time I go to use the printer, it will not connect to the pc.

Summary Once you spend 2-3 hours on the HP website getting this product to print a page, rest assured, you will be back there the next time you want to use your printer. It has definitely soured my opinion of HP and I will think twice before purchasing another product from them.

  • "Wonderful printer, but one complaint..."
    on by nsierocki

Pros Nice quality printing, easy ink access, easy paper access, A LOT of extras on the printer itself, I really like the quick "cancel" button on the printer

Cons My numero uno complaint: You CANNOT print in black only if all the other cartridges are empty. I find this to be a HUGE nuisance. It is a little on the large side, also.

Summary Nice printer. You read the pros and cons. Regarding my number one con, Iv'e tried all I could to print BLACK ONLY, but it does not matter. I have a full black cartridge, so I should be good to go. The printer displays that it needs a new magenta and yellow cartridge. I went to HP Support, and they had nothing about it. This is definitely a gimmick, I feel, to get me to buy more ink when I DO NOT need it. That's the BOTTOM LINE.

  • "I hate this printer!!"
    on by Tony_407

    Pros Wireless, speed, print quality

Cons CONSTANTLY jams, misses pages, takes forever to get warmed up.

Summary I really, really, really hate this printer. Yes - hate is a strong word, but accurate. At least 50% of the jobs I print, it eats the first page. It doesn't matter what kind of paper I use or if I fan the sheets first, etc. It takes forever to get warmed up, making clicking and whirring sounds for what seems like an eternity before it starts to print. And when I try to print on both sides of the page, it consistently misses a page halfway through the job and ruins the entire project. It seems to go through the ink cartridges like I do dirty socks. And even though the majority of my prints are in black and white, why do my color cartridges go dry so fast? RIP OFF!! And the most infuriating thing of all is when the cartridges run "out" the printer refuses to print. Nothing. Nada. Not a peep. Talk about getting pissed off at an inanimate object!! When I'm on my way out the door to my class with a research paper and this waste of space refuses to print... I'd love to give the person responsible for designing this thing a piece of my mind. I HATE THIS THING!!!
