"A total TEN! All the way around."
Pros: Fast, amazing color, extremely user friendly, incredibly easy setup, sleek low profile design is excellent.
Cons: Absolutely none that I have found after a month of use.
Summary: Having been a diehard HP fan for many years, the switch was difficult but made much easier by the flawless performance of this Canon printer. The color is amazing, the speed is incredible, probably the only one that actually meets manufacturers claims. I priced ink and found it very reasonable at a number of sources. The ease of installation was amazing, it was very straightforward. I actually am considering purchasing another one as a backup since we do high quantity printing. I love HP but I am a convert now. Cnet reviews were what I based my choice on so I would strongly advise checking this site before purchasing anything techie.Updated
I noticed a sheet of labels going in crooked but it was too late to do anything about it. The printer pulled it in and out by itself 2 or 3 times and actually straightened the paper before it printed. I was amazed!

I to am a diehard HP printer user. I recently ordered the Canon I9900 printer, very pricey. I have never been so disappointed in a printer. I have an old hp deskjet 940C that gave print quality as good as this expensive printer. Since I've been burned its hard to consider trying another Canon product. I have an Hp Deskjet 5740 I'm using now and the print quality is exceptional, but it is slow, slow, slow. I'm printing out greeting cards on linen card stock, would the Canon ip5000 print a quality print on this material?
