    "What the hell" on

Summary: Dont' know what the CNET editors are smokiing to give this camera such ratings. It peforms about the same as the Quickcam express for about 2x the money. The design is basically a copy of the iRez Critter camera a few years ago made for Apple iMacs. I don't see Logitech have changed much in that camera save the logo and more drabby black color, including the poor images that got iRez bashed everywhere. The fact CNET gave this camera a high rating for image quality makes me wonder if these camera reviews are as simple as name brand biassed. A cheap and comparably compact IBM Net Cam (not PC cam) for $30 or less can beat it in resolution and saturation, yet it is not rated in CNET. Please look for more genuine unbiassed opinions about this camera than to become manipulated by CNET's reviews. With the kind of leverage that CNET has, shame on them for not doing their job right.
