  "Don't buy Seagate"

  Pros: Cheap price - but you get what you pay for.

  Cons: I bought this drive based on all the reviews saying how "quiet" Seagate drives are. If you don't mind a buzzing noise every 45 seconds to 1 minute that last for 10-15 seconds this is the drive for you. I ran the diagnostics, drive is fine. I called their

  I don't know about this particular model, but the 80 GByte Barracuda I have is the quietest drive I have yet worked with - and I have owned dozens.
  
  Still, it may be that I was lucky. Anybody else have experience on the quietness of this model?
