Pros
fast, "extremely quiet", large cache, large storage space for its time.
Cons
Tried as usb drive. Seemed fine. Tried to move xp swap file to it. It locked up. Got out tried to reboot. No go. Shut off PC. Left drive pwr on. Few hrs later heard clicking noise from drive. Removed. Rebooted. All went back to normal.
Summary
Not sure about reliability and stability. A quarter terabytes, 8 meg cache, and ATA 133 would be a pretty good drive for an older machine but if its going to intermittently screw up your system its trash.

I'll read some stuff and try a few things but if I cant make it 100% reliable its going to become property of the sanitation department. Not only would I not recommend this drive. I would recommend against it.
