"Harddrive Failed, and Seagate won't honor the warranty." on by Dsotolongo
Pros: NONE... I was using this product as a backup. Now I have no backup.
In an effort to save money they will require proof of purchase, and they have cut the warranty length time. this device is supposed to have 3 years warranty.Cons: This item is now officially out of warranty as per Seagate's Customer service representative.
Summary: Seagate suspended the warranty on this product. if you buy it, you'll need proof of purchase to claim warranty.
