"Superb Drive, with proper expectations" on by HDDMAN1
Pros: 1. Very fast Boot and Load times
2. 750 GB of space
3. ULTRA QUIET
4. 32GB internal SSD bufferCons: 1. Price, would be better if street price around $120
Summary: This is a major step up in performance over the Gen1 model, and for 95% of users, this drive is a superb performer. Only if transferring large amounts of data, will this drive bog down, thus a true SSD is the best option. I am very satisfied with this drive, and with proper expectations you will be too.

"Must Have as Notebook HDD Upgrade." on by stvadim
Pros: - SSD like Performance
- Cost compared to SSD
- 7200 RPM in 2.5 drive
- 750GB Storage SpaceCons: - If Cloning from old drive there is issue about Partition Alignment for Advanced Format Drive.
- Lack of Manufacturers Specific Utility for OS optimization to use hybrid drive. Can be done manually
- Time needed for drive to "learn"Summary: Momentus XT 750GB Hybrid drive is perfect if you want to get SSD like performance on your laptop not compromising available disk space.
And SSD like performance is achieved in my case (several weeks using this drive in my W7 Home Premuim SP1 VAIO F Series Laptop).
A soon as windows start time become point of concern you will definitely be satisfied with 20-30sec boot/start-up time.
Also frequent use application are starting in no-time. Basic MS Office 2010 Applications for example - 1-2 sec to start just after reboot. Some utilities pointed out that drive partitions alignment is incorrect after Cloning from previous HDD, and no utilities available to make alignment without data loss (Paragon Patrition Alignment Tool Failed in my case). Whus fresh W7 install took place. -
Cons: Quand on pense stockage
