Pros Low price - Bought 5 drives... 2 x 1TB and 3 x 750G drives....

Cons All drives - average 2 weeks running time. 3 out of 5 failed.

1TB catastrophic bad sector cascade.... A 750 - ran via USB in case, failed under SATA in case and direct to mother board - catastrophic failure. Other 750 getting bad sectors.

Summary a) The was head crashing on one of the drives. Rang WD dedicated HDD Tech Support - got CLUELESS person who didn't know what head crashing was.....

3 out of 5 drives failed - 2 catastrophically = screen locks in Z patterns, huge bad sectors.; 3rd drive starting to lose sectors.

Average run time for all drives ~2 weeks.

The WD specialist software for running the drives and or repairing the drives = garbage.

The 1TB with 170 bad sectors, did all WD tests, said PASSED, not because fault was repairable, but because was within tolerances.

WD testing software DID NOT say how many bad sectors, how much data moved, if repairs worked and how much of sectors fixed or written off as bad, just said "PASSED" with no details or report. = scamware.

2 other drive testing software said drive was junk, estimated SMART - life of 4 weeks. WD said drive was fine....

Garbage products, deceitful software.

Don't buy.
