"Warranty won't be honored!" on by dslhunter
Pros: large capacity
Cons: failed after one year, company refuses to honor warranty.
Summary: I bought this drive and was assured by WD that the warranty was 3 years even though the box listed only 1 year. The drive failed shortly after 1 year, and it took numerous emails and phone calls to even get a response from WD.
The bottom line is that they are now claiming the drive is "out of warranty", and they refuse to do anything except offer to sell me a new drive.
By all means, pay attention to the other members on this site when they say this drive fails, customer service sucks, and the warranty will not be honored.
I got stuck with a $250 lemon.
