It works greatby SepToD - March 5, 2009
Pros: Many features are included in this software, but even better, they all work.
Cons: None, Ive been using mine for over a year.
Review:
I agree with the other reviewers, the platinum version has much more for your money and is the version that I am leaving a review for. You can find the platinum version for about 30 bucks. Just check out google or next tag or pricegrabber or somewhere, Cnet says its out of stuck but its out there.

Stop bashing this product.by Kyle808 - February 28, 2009
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Anonymizer no longer provides anti-spyware; which is a shame because the last update they put out in November 11th 2008 is still catching more spyware than my SpySweeper.
Review:
*** is with you people bashing this product? It does what it says it will do and it does it flawlessly. When it changes your IP it routes you through a few of secure anonymous servers somewhere in California, and when it does this it has absolutely no effect on your internet, meaning that it doesn?t slow you down at all. I have noticed only two quirks so far, when running Norton Internet security 2009 the ?Anti-phishing? toolbar on Norton basically never detects anything because it?s all going through the server, but the platinum version of Anonymizer has an ?anti-phishing? filter in it already, which when turned on works very well and also doesn?t slow your internet. And when using any version of Zone Alarm a warning will pop up that says ?Anonymizer is trying monitor user keystrokes an user activity? this only pops up because it?s rerouting you to their servers, on Anonymizer?s web site they acknowledge this and reaffirm why zone alarm is doing this and that it is ok to select ?allow?.

Actually used version 3.0 and it works as advertised.by ronlw - February 23, 2009
Pros: Simple set-up, reasonable price, works as stated with Internet Explorer 7.
Cons: Noticeable slow down in speed. Not terribly bad so I consider it a trade off.
Review:
Checked with various anonymous surfing sites and it does display a different address. Didn't find any sites that didn't work while using it. As for the speed issue, you can surf anonymously or have your speed. I don't think there's any program that gives you both.

Do not buy this productby turbo1011 - November 10, 2008
Pros: Easy to install and configure
Cons: Customer support is really bad. People are unfriendly with a bad attitude.
They do not have a reliable e-commerce system in place. You might loose your money!
Review:
The company is using Plimus as their e-commerce provider and they do not seem to have a good system in place. Payments go through and accounts are set up and then they drop the account because they can not retrieve payment information.
However, my credit card i charged and they say it is not! Hm?!?! So their solution is to cancel the account and erase all my history.
I do not trust this company and I have read similar reviews online. Watch out and do your research before using their service. There are plenty of alternatives that you can use.

Limited usefulnessby Father John - June 13, 2006
Pros: changes visible IP address
Cons: servers down; slow; few IP addresses; no choices
Review:
While Anonymizer changes the visible IP address, it only provides (as far as I saw) two different IP addresses. This provides limited anonymity in that posts from one of these two IPs will soon leave their own trail.
The file servers have been down for two straight days now - and I haven't had the product for a week yet. With servers down, there is no anonymity at all.
Even when the product works and a different IP address is provided, services slows considerably. I have cable connectivity and web site loading is lightening fast, With Anonymizer loaded, pages sometimes are "dial-up" slow.
There is no ability to choose or rotate alternate IP addresses. If you apply Anonymizer (provided their servers are up), they assign the alternate IP address - usually the same one day after day.
I purchased the product because CNET rated it so high. I am very disappointed.

Not impressed,poor supportby pcmdchris - August 30, 2005
Pros: low cpu usage
Cons: Installation somewhat cumbersome, slow internet, poor support
Review:
I experience poor support from the vendor. Configuration was not straight forward. Internet connection became very slow after installation, note that I have broadband at 4.5mbps. Within 3 hours of signing up for the service, their servers went down. 15mns later it was still down, forcing me to shut down their software so I could surf the net. I called and they gave me my money back. I would recommend the iphantom product.
