great product

Pros: good protection, easy to use, easy to update, very user friendly, no annoying pop ups, excellent all in one protection

Cons: i have no cons for this product

Review: compared with the competetion the antivirus suite is far supperior to Norton and Mcafee. After using both for years I tried etrust after reading some reviews on Cnet and it has not disappointed me. No pop up warnings and restrictions like Mc Afee and better protection and more user friendly than Norton....I give it a ten!

Support is non-existant for new prodcuts, they require you to pay for support.

Pros: I can see no redeming value for a product that fails out of the box

Cons: Language barrier challenges if you call support, and poorly trained help with the On line support

Review: Their On Line Chat is not chartered with helping customers, if I did not have a copy on the chat session, I would not have believed this myself. If their prodcut fails to perform, their policy is to blame the OS (Windows XP Home) and other application software if any was installed, this is supported from a saved chat session

Worthless!!!

Pros: Absolutely NONE

Cons: Crashes my computer

Review: I was using etrust on my computer for awhile and when I upgraded to the newer version, it crashed my computer. More than once! So I had to do a hard system restore on it for my computer to work again. Needless to say, I'm in the market now for new internet security!

Good package, Bad problems, Ugly tech support

Pros: Lots of good features for the price. One security center for everything, unlike EZ Armor, it makes it very user friendly

Cons: Problems when installing. it didn't install the anti-virus. I got locked out of the Parental Controls and can't log in. tech support is non-existant.

Review: I purchased The 2008 version and the lack of tech support by itself makes this a terrible buy. I was lucky to find the live chat feature on their website. When I had another problem, I could not find it again. Every "support" link on their website takes you to the same FAQ page, so you end up going in circles. I think they make the free tech support features hard-to-find on purpose, so that you have to pay $19.99 for one phone call. Right now I'm locked out of my own parental controls that I paid $85 for. Bottom line invest your money in another company, because this one leaves you hanging.

Not good at all.

Pros: the the support by chat..

Cons: the computer get so slow...

Review: I got very desappointed it this virus, it's very hard to configure and I have the old version 2006, now they have a new version, my computer is 30gb hdd and I need 60gb hdd,and because that I can't doing the microsft updates,it's fail, I can't open web adress and link, and my computer got so messy because this antivirus.
I was suppose get $20.00 rebate, but they did not payed the rebate. So I won't ever buy this antivirus again.

Don't waste your time and money

Pros: Free somtimes

Cons: Have to enter web sights that come up blank to your excepted list

Review: found that I had to enter web sight URL to my excepted list every time I turned around. Pages came up blank or error message "You are not allowed to view this page" even after entering URAL may time still had problem viewing then trying to find correct URL that CA would except as ok. Switched to Nortons and have no problems

Glad it only cost $9.99

Pros: Good virus software, loaded easily.

Cons: Firewall is horrible. Customer service lousey

Review: I have used Norton for the last 4 years, no issues. Decided to try something different. Saw CA was on slae, bought it. Easy install. Firewall not good. would not allow me to sign into MSN. followed advice from CA three times. Still not letting me sign on. Disable the firewall, signed on, then enabled it again. No problem once signed on. Very difficult to figure out firewall. Also did not find all of the spy junk like Ad Aware did. Still needed to run that after i ran CA program. Took it off my PC. Now have McAfee on it until i can find something else.

NOT WORTH THE HASSLE

Pros: GOOD FIREWALL EASY UPDATES

Cons: CONTINUING LICENSEING PROBLEMS & TECH IS OUT TO LUNCH

Review: I rarely write a review, but I have to share the frustration with the liscensing hassles with this suite.
The suites Anti virus seems to work well, but I don't see it as any better than McAfee's. The firewall also seems to stop remote access OK also. That's it, that's the good.
Now the bad. The firewall for no perticular reason will not let me get to my email about 10% of the time so it needs to be turned off to access my email. (pretty solid protection huh?)
Sometimes I can get to my email but composing is a problem. I have implemented
all CA's suggestions form their site & FAQ etc.
The antivirus tries to contact CA for updates every 3 minutes according to the log (you have to scroll down hunndreds of lines to get to the lastest action. Call me uninformed but in my world the most recent should be at the top)
License expired started poping up after 30 days (I have a one year subscription) First contact with tech got a fast responce, did'nt work but they were fast, and that's were fast ended. Had to email twice to get a responce, that's after waiting 3 days for the answer. Meanwhile "License expired" keeps poping up like a jack in the box. (That got old real fast). Their next answer wanted me to download MEG's of data, all five parts of the program. I have dialup so I emailed if reinstalling from th CD was OK. Day 1 no responce, day 2 the same, day 3 same. So I just did it from the CD it worked and now the subscription is right.
Butttttt the same thing just happened to the second computer. I'm so happy that I have to uninstall, reinstall, go down the stairs again and again and again to set the permissions again for my son. WHAT A HASSLE!

I have a three user liscense

An average product, have seen better

Pros: Nothing out of the ordinary

Cons: Shocked to see that their firewall is same as Zone Alarm!!

Review: I compared this product with Zome Alarm Pro Internet Security Suite. The biggest thing that hit me was that there firewall is an exact copy of Zone Alarm Pro though bit older. If it was not for the CA logo, I wouldn't be able to tell if it was ZA or CA !!

This program creates a separate system tray icon for each service like firewall, anti virus and so on. Why couldn't they have an integrated interface like ZA? Seperate interfaces mean more management and more resource consumption on the PC. This is the reason I uninstalled it immediately.

Given a choice between security suites from ZA and CA, I chose ZA.

Good modules but not really a package, some bugs

Pros: Very strong anti-virus and firewall, fast to load, execute and scan.

Cons: Anti-spyware not on par with anti-virus and firewall, very loose connection between different modules, some annoying bugs.

Review: This product has left me with mixed impressions. On the pros side, its firewall (which is actually ZoneAlarm's previous version (5.5)) is extremely potent. It lacks ZA firewall 6.1's OS firewall, but it also lacks the latter's bugs. The anti-virus module is also top-notch, receiving very high scores at independent lab tests, and the package slows neither applications load nor execution time. Scanning is also very quick.

But the spyware module isn't that strong, the different modules are only loosely integrated (there is a separate icon for each module on the system tray and the firewall's interface differs greatly form the AV, which in turn is different from the anti-spyware UI), and, what's even worse, I've encountered some very annoying bugs: the main screen wouldn't always load, and I couldn't update the firewall.

All in all, I found both Symantec's and McAfee's suites to be more balanced and mature products.

Etrust antivirus Great product

Pros: Easy to use very effective

Cons: user support very bad

Review: I have been a user of E trust antivirus for a number of years now the product is great but the support is bloody awfull.Vet antivirus is the same program produced in australia and you apparently get great support including telephone but cost quite a bit more. Why cant Etrust provide the same level of support. product rates about 8 support 0

User Rating: 3/10

no tech support

Pros: impressed with opinions of most users but it might not be for everyone.

Cons: no support for individual computer users if their problem is out of the ordinary

Review: would love to use this program but at this point it is to much of a hassle to be considered.

POOR TECH SUPPORT

Pros: was a subscriber for five years

Cons: pathetic OUTSOURCED tech support

Review: On Feb. 1 CA had a server problem. For five days I was without my anti virus scanning function. A dozen emails for help produced nothing. Three requests for a refund of my unused subscription (expires July 25) were ignored. Finally,on Feb. 6 ,I uninstalled my CA program and downloaded another product. VERY POOR TECH SUPPORT.

I have to repectfully disagree

Pros: Have never had a virus with this Suite

Cons: I wish eTrust EZ Anitvirus worked better with removable HDDs.

Review: I have had excellent customer service from CA. They emailed and called me back several times for follow up help for a problem I was experiencing due to removable HDDs and real-time protectin status.

User Rating: 9/10

outstanding suite, works fine, never had a problem

Pros: works great and doesn't bog down the computer, easy to set up

Cons: absolutely none

Review: i used Norton before and it constantly slowed things to a crawl. Tried this becuase of the price, half of what others wanted. Worked great ever since after a short intital setup. Amazing what is catches without constantly bothering me about what to do. Exactly what a program like this should do. HIGHLY recommended....

oh, resubscriptions are alot less too
