"DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!" on by dwassel

    Pros: NONE !!!!!!

Cons: This product is a mess!!

Summary: I have used Norton for years without issue. 360 messed up all 3 of my computers and once you put it on, you can't just take it off to fix the issues. If you have Quickbooks- watch out! This program has many compatability issues and will cause many more probems than it will fix.

Trying to get answers from Symantec is even harder than dealing with the product. Whenever I try to Chat or send contact them via the web I get an error saying windows has to close. Their live update won't even connect. STAY AWAY!

Dang, my own fault for not looking at reviews. I will not ever buy another downloadable version of anything..you only get a couple of downloads then that is it. I should of burned a hard copy..and may with my one and only remaining download. I have to have something till payday when I can dump this garbage and purchase a differnt product from a differnt company

Norton has really gone downhill in my opinion. Used to be a great bet! I've got 360 and today the Spyware Protect 2009 (RogueAntiSpyware.WinSpywareProtect ) virus got through. I called Norton support and they told me it was a new virus and they were working on a fix, it wasn't available yet...but I could pay them $100 to remove it for me. Huh? First of all, additional research showed this virus has been around since last year at least, there are dozens of sites with removal instructions...and, I ran Spy Docter, a FREE program that is amazing, btw, and it took it right off. I've spent a lot of money over the years with Norton/Symantec for my home, office and my husbands office...but won't buy another thing from them. IMO, that whole scenario today was suspect and seemed like a scam to get me to pay $100 when the fix was obviously available. Buyer beware!

I had very similar problems. When system drive failed, I did not reload.
